16.30 hrs request by Police. 2 Walkers rescued from Holwick Fell after sustaining injury when crossing small stream. Air ambulance was requested to assist and evacuate injured male, whilst female partner was assited from fell by SARDA Dog Des and Team. Weather: localised rainstorms. |

Saturday 26th April 1730hrs two team members were about to start climbing at Castle Crag in the Lake District when they received a call from another search dog handler, who knew they were in the area, requesting their assistance in the search of 6 missing walkers in Wet saddle area of Shap who had became lost due to falling mist. The two members and Search dog Skye met up with Kirby Stephens MRT when they received a phone call from the police saying the missing party had re-located themselves and they no-longer required Mountain Rescue, it was decided that Search dog Skye and Search dog N.U.T with navigator Simon Stuart would walk up to meet the missing party. The party was never met and it was believed they got themselves down off the hill. |

Team?s Search and Rescue Dogs (Search Dog Skye and Search Dog N.U.T) were called to assist Cleveland Search and Rescue Team to search for a vulnerable 52 year old male from Manchester. The vulnerable male had left his van parked in the car park of the Sun Inn near Chop Gate North Yorkshire.
The two dog teams were tasked to search wood land areas along with neighbouring search dog Molly from Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team.
The missing male was located by a search group from a neighbouring team Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team who were assisting in search.

The Team were called at 1.45 pm to recover stranded drivers from vehicles stuck in snow on the A66 between Bowes and Penrith. 10 team members plus a vehicle from Deepdale Off Road ferried motorists from their vehicles to a reception centre set up at Bowes village hall. We were assisted by Swaledale MRT in working west from Bowes. Kirby Stephen MRT were working east from Penrith. The two MR teams met up at 5.45pm. Once the A66 was cleared teams checked the minor roads and the B6276 from Brough to Middleton in Teesdale. |
