Team called to search for missing vulnerable 82 year old male at 3am on Boxing Day. Team assembling in Chester le Street when the person was found by a member of the public.

Team called by the North East Ambulance service to search for a missing lady with an injured leg in the Mickleton Area. The Team were stood down after about 15 minutes when the missing ladies family had found her and driven her back to their house using the families quad bike.

The team were called out to search Hamsterley Forest for a missing male. 17 team members responded and two search dogs. Fortunately he was found safe and well not long after night fall.

TWSMRT were called by Durham Police to search for a high risk missing male. The area identified was Long Newton, as the team were travelling to the RV point the missper was found by the Police.

Team called to search for a missing 80 year old man who had left home earlier that day and had not returned. The Team searched a number of open and wooded areas around Stanley in wet and cold conditions. The Team stood down at about 2300 as police followed up on a sighting some distance from Stanley. The missing man was found safe and well in the early hours of the morning by the police.

On Friday night the team were called to look for an elderly lady who had gone missing in the Darlington area. Fortunately she was found safe and well as the team were starting to assemble.

Team called by the police to search for vulnerable missing 81 year old female last seen near Darlington. The missing lady was found by the police helicopter minutes after the original request for assistance and before the Team deployed.

The Team were called by North East Ambulance Service to assist with carrying out a gentleman who had slipped and fallen whilst walking beside the River Tees near Barnard Castle. 8 team members carried the patient in a mountain rescue stretcher for 1 km to the waiting ambulance.

Team called out at lunchtime on Wednesday to search for a young female missing from Ferryhill. As the search was underway assisted by a mountain rescue search dog and handler from Swaledale the young lady was located fit and well outside the search area.

Team called at 1am to search for a missing 56 year old male who had gone out for an evening stroll and not returned four hours later. The missing male returned safe and well of his own accord as the team assembled.

Search for a high risk 29 year old female missing from her home address in Stanley since 1800hrs.,Saturday evening. As the team assembled to continue the search, the missper was found outside the original search areas. She was transferred to hospital by ambulance for assessment and treatment.

Team was called to continue the search for a missing elderly male with dementia. The Team searched woodland near the missing mans home in targeted search sectors. He was found in woodland, in a search sector adjacent to the A66, he was stretchered to the A66 and handed over to the Ambulance Service.

Team called at 23.30 to search for a missing elderly male with dementia. The Team searched through the night covering river banks and woodland near the missing mans home. Nothing round and search stood down pending further inquiries.

Team involved in a large scale search for a missing 65 year old woman with advanced dementia from Esh Winning. The search was strongly driven by public sightings at Broom Park, Stone Bridge and The Cock of the North, and finally stood down when a member of the public identified the missing lady heading towards Haswell Plough.

Team called to a female with a head injury near the river Tees above Low Force. NEAS medics found the casualty as team members assembled and assessed and treated the injuries. The Casualty was walked out.

TWSMRT were called to search for a 31 year old, male missing from his home at Blackhall Colliery since Tuesday. We search areas in the Denes adjacent to his house. Unfortunately nothing was found, and further enquires are on-going by Durham Police.

A competitor on the Durham Dales challenge walk who had fallen and lacerated his knee was treated.His laceration was cleaned and dressed, and he was advised to attend his local A&E as follow up treatment was required.

Team called when one of a small group of youths who had been swimming in the pool below High Force waterfall got into trouble and disappeared from sight. The Team searched the water below the waterfall along side the Fire Service supported by the Teams Canoe section. The missing male was found and recovered from the water before being transferred by helicopter to hospital. Unfortunately the male was later pronounced dead.

Team called to assist with the evacuation of a man who had fallen a considerable distance into a disused quarry on the outskirts of Ferry Hill. The man was carried down some steep step to the ambulance service off road vehicle before being transferred to hospital.

Team called to search for a vulnerable missing 52 year old male last seen at 18.15 the previous evening. The team cleared lots of pockets of woodland within 1km of the missing persons home address. The search stood down shortly before nightfall when the missing person is believed to have made a financial transaction outside the area. The missing male was safely located overnight.

Team called to search for a missing kayaker who had been seen in difficulties by a member of the public on the River Tees in Winston. The team were stood down whilst assembling when the kayaker was confirmed safe and well.

The Team were asked by the North East Ambulance Service to provide a 4 wheel drive ambulance and crew to assist during a period of heavy snow. We crewed one of our Land Rovers based in the Durham area with a doctor, advanced medic and blue light qualified driver for 24 hours from Saturday afternoon. The Team treated around 20 patients and transported several of them to hospitals in the North East.

Team assembled in case assistance was required with the floods in Durham or neighboring counties. In the event we were not called upon to take any action and returned to standby at about 22.00 as local river levels peaked.
