Team members assisted county ambulance crew with evacualtion of an elderly lady who had slipped and fallen and suffered fracture of the lower leg (it had snowed overnight).

Team members discoverd an elderly man lying in a stream at the bottomm of an embankment (it had been snowing heavily and the casulty was intoxicated). Taken to hospital by county ambulance.

Team called by Police to search for young man missing from home. Tragically he was found dead, having, apparently, taking his own life near Esh Winning

Team called to rescue dog which had fallen into disused mineshaft. Recoved uninjured. The only damage occured the training officers hand.

Team called by Police to search for elderly man missing from home. Missing person was an Alzheimer's sufferer. Nothing found. Still missing on 16 Sept. Assisted by Cleveland SRT.

Team called by Police to recover three sheep which were stuck on a very steep riverbank. Farmer had already attempted single handed rescue, but had frightened himself when he realised how dangerous the situation was.

Team members carried out further searches of river banks for man missing from home in Crook. This was a final effort. Nothing found. Mans body was found in the River Wear near Finchale Abbey on Monday 03/01/00 - subsequently identified as the man from Crook.

1
Team callout
2 walkers became lost in very poor weather conditions on Cross Fell. They tried to relocate themselves but were unable to do so. When they became exhausted they decided to take shelter for the night at the refuge Moor House. After calling for help using a mobile phone they were quickly found by the Team and taken to safety.
