Team callout
Search for a lady missing from her address in Peterlee. Search initially centered around her home address. The search was moved to the South Hetton area as further information was received. The lady was found cold and wet, in one of the designated search areas but otherwise uninjured, in an area adjacent to woodland. She was assessed by team medics and warmed up.

Team called to search for 15 year old child who had gone missing from a school trip in Hamsterly Forest. After about 7 hours searching through dense woodland the missing boy was located safe and well on a track in the woodland and reunited with his family.

Team were called at about lunch time to search for 61 year old male missing since 7.20am that morning with limited mobility in the Billy Row area. The Team searched all the immediate areas around the village for the well known man. He was found following information from a member of the public just before night fall. Whilst out searching the team also found a second vulnerable person who was suitably treated before being passed onto the local constabulary.

Team called out at 4pm today to assist NEAS and HART crews recover a man from a steep sided riverbank. the male had been working with a film crew in Copley Woods nr Woodland when he slipped and injured his ankle. 8 Team members attended.

Team called by the police to attempt phone lock on vulnerable missing males phone in the Quarrington Hill area in the small hours of the morning. The missing person did not respond to the message from the Team. Agreed to await further information before escalating the search.

Team called to advise police on vulnerable male missing from his home in Consett. After discussion the team deployed to search the footpaths between the missing persons home and the caves at Hownsgill. Missing person found by team members, treated for injuries, handed over to NEAS for transportation to hospital.

Multi-agency search for a high risk elderly gentleman with dementia. Serach centred arround his home address and this last known position. He was spotted from the air by the Police helicopter, and recovered from his position, checked and taken to UHND as a precaution.

Team called in the early hours by police to advise on missing male in Durham City area. Due to missing mans last known position being in urban area agreed to review in the morning once further evidence was gathered.

The Team were briefly called out while return from our days training to look for a missing male in the Dipton area. The vulnerable missing male had last been seen at Dipton Scout Hut and had subsequently told the police that he could hear a road. He was found by the police very shortly after we were called. Six team members, two trainees and three team vehicles responded.

Team called to six canoists reported as overdue and who's canoe had been seen floating down the river upside down. The team were stood down about 45 minutes later when the group were found safe and well by the police helicopter.

The team were called to help search for a missing woman in the Leadgate Area. The vulnerable lady in her mid forties had left home about 11am the previous day. During searches a potential sighting was identified however nothing was found and the search stood down at 22.30 to await more information from the police.

Team called by police shortly before 6am to help in the search for a vulnerable male in his 40s last seen in Peter Lee heading towards Castle Eden Dene. The Team searched some of the Dene before being stood down when the missing male was located by family members outside the search area.

The team were called to assist NEAS with the evacuation of an injured farmer from the fells above Westgate. The ambulance crews managed to evacuate the patient to their ambulance just as the team were arriving on scene.

The Team was called out on Wednesday evening to search for a missing vulnerable male thought to be in the Pelaw woods area of Durham City. 10 Team members searched until dark, nothing found. Police are continuing inquiries.

10 Team members and a MR search dog from Cleveland MRT searched for vulnerable man in Edmondsley area on Tuesday afternoon. The gentleman returned home and was treated by Team medics before arrival of ambulance.

Team searched into the early hours for a lady missing from northern Darlington. As the team assembled a report came in of a confirmed sighting in Barmpton. The team searched in and around all the footpaths and accessible tracks within 1km of this sighting including some open ground. The Team stood down at about 1.30am to await more information.

Fourteen Mountain Rescue Volunteers from Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team supported by four dog handlers (and their dogs) from Yorkshire and Northumberland search for 12 hours today for a 65 year old female missing from her home in Peter Lee. The Team searched both the parkland within the Town and the steep and overgrown ground within Castle Eden Dene. No sign of the missing lady was found and the police are continuing to review all the evidence to lead further enquiries.

Team called to evacuate a male walker who had collapsed near the River Tees a mile or so below Cauldron Snout Waterfall. Further information continued to come in as the team assembled with some police officers and local farmers reaching the casualty first. While the casualty was capable of walking very slowly because of the very difficult terrain he was stretched to the team vehicle before being transferred to a NEAS ambulance. Weather conditions deteriorated while the team were out concluding in heavy rain driven by high winds.

Team were called out at 23.45 to search for a vulnerable male in the Stanley area of County Durham. As the search was commencing the missing person returned to his home.

The police called the team having had a phone call from a young lady who had become lost in Hamsterley forest driving back from an event. She has taken a wrong turning and found herself at a locked gate in the forest not knowing where she was or how to get back. We were able to talk to her and she gave us a good description of her surroundings and three team members were then able to locate her and accompany her back in the team land rover.

Team called late on Sunday night to search for a missing Female who's car had reported its self as crashed but the driver who was thought to be in a vulnerable state was missing. The car was near the River Wear in Willington. As the team assembled the missing female arrived safely at a friends house and the search was stood down.

Team called to search for despondent male last seen on railway at Chester-Le-Street station. Search manager met with police to determine search strategy when missing male arrived safely at partners house in Chester-Le-Street.

The Team searched farmland, river banks and woodland around Durham City for about 5 hours after being called to search for a missing 29 year old female. Despite the extensive search nothing was found and there were no further sightings. After checking all the open ground within 1km of the last confirmed sighting the Team stood down to await further information, at which point the search will recommence if appropriate.

Team called to to locate and evacuate a party of 4 army cadets and their instructor after reports one of the party was ill. Located at given grid reference and walked off the hill. Location south of Maize Beck between Cow Green reservoir and High Cup Nick. Cold and wet. Evacuation completed by 23.00 hrs. Kirkby Stephen MRT also involved.

Team called to search for a vulnerable elderly male with dementia who had left his home in New Brancepeth at some point overnight. The missing male was located near the Arnison Centre in Durham by the police as the team assembled.

Called out on Saturday morning to assist Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team who had been searching for a vulnerable male missing in the Clay Bank area of the Cleveland Hills. The missing person was found at around 09:30 and treated by mountain rescue personnel before being taken by helicopter to hospital.

Team called by the North East Ambulance service to search for a missing lady with an injured leg in the Mickleton Area. The Team were stood down after about 15 minutes when the missing ladies family had found her and driven her back to their house using the families quad bike.
