31st July 2017 BARNARD CASTLE STREET COLLECTION
The Teesdale & Weardale search & mountain rescue team would like to thank the people of Teesdale and visitors to Barnard Castle for their generosity during last Saturdays annual street collection.
Team members were joined by the president of Mountain Rescue England & Wales (MREW) Ray Griffiths who happily took a bucket and stood through mixed weather collecting and chatting to interested parties.
The team raised £970 ! As volunteers, none of our members receive any remuneration and therefor every penny raised goes into running the team. Once again the folk of Teesdale have shown their generosity.
